26th Annual Reunion Welcome

Come to Seattle to enjoy our gorgeous weather.  No rain is guaranteed!  Our official dates are August 20 to August 27, 2017.

For your enjoyment we have planned several tours.  Monday, we have Lunch Cruise on Lake Washington to view the billionaires' homes, the floating bridges, Mt Rainier in the distance.  Tuesday, we will tour the Boeing Plant to view the assembly of 747s, 757s, and 767s (box lunch included).  Wednesday, we bus to downtown Seattle to spend several hours each at the Pike Place Market and Seattle Center (lunch on your own).  Thursday, we have planned a 45-minutes boat cruise from Seattle waterfront to Tillicum Village on Blake Island where we will enjoy lunch buffet featuring Native American style grilled salmon, followed by a live dance performance of a local Native American legend.  Thursday night also features our band/dance night.

Of course, on Friday night, we will have buffet dinner followed by our annual auction -- don't forget to bring your donation of auction items.  Saturday will be our formal Banquet night to close our week of activities and companionship.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: April 19, 2017

Members of the 27th Infantry Regiment Historical Society,

This is to let you know that our hotel for the 2017 Reunion has changed. As you may know, our originally contracted hotel, Holiday Inn Downtown Everett, was acquired by another investment group earlier this year. The new ownership decided to close the hotel and do a complete renovation before reopening as Delta by Marriott Downtown Everett. Unfortunately, as it often happens, their reconstruction schedule has slipped. Thus, the Everett location will not be ready to reopen in time for our scheduled 2017 Reunion, August 20-27.

However, we have been offered a replacement hotel. It will be Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport. All contractual provisions will be honored. The daily rate will remain $116 (plus tax). The rate will include free daily breakfast for two, free parking, and free WiFi. The $116 rate is available 3-days before and after the official Reunion dates. The menu and charges for the buffet and the banquet stays the same. The scheduled tours and activities stays the same at the same rates (departure and arrival times may change).

Marriott and Crowne Plaza will cooperate to transfer all reservations made with Marriott to Crowne Plaza. You need not call Crowne Plaza to make another reservation. Though, we highly recommend you contact them by phone/on-line to verify that transfer was made and get a confirmation from Crowne Plaza. Just added layer of assurance. Their reservations number is 1-844-733-1389. Ask for 27th Infantry Regiment Historical Society.

And, finally, the really good news! The Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport is a 260 room hotel totally renovated only 3 years ago. It is on Highway 99/International Blvd directly across from SeaTac Airport. They provide a free shuttle, every 30 minutes 24/7, directly from the Airport to the Hotel -- a mere 5-minute run (as opposed to the $29/person each way shuttle, 50 miles to Everett). Moreover, Crowne Plaza is half-block from an overpass, with elevator, to Seattle's Airport light rail station. The trains run every 10 minutes or so (from 6 AM to midnight) for a mere 30 minutes ride to downtown Seattle (ticket is $3 one way and can be purchased at the front desk).

The rooms are quite beautiful. Looking fresh and attractive. Moreover, the hotel's banquet room is out of this world: it is circular and on the top floor, with floor to ceiling windows, great view of Mt Rainier to the south and downtown Seattle to the north.

We are quite lucky to get Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport. It is far more convenient location for most of us. It is a great hotel for an extremely low price for the Seattle location. We hope this may encourage even more of you to come and participate in our 26th Annual Reunion in Seattle.

If you have any specific concerns or questions, please call Mac Fletcher, your 2017 Reunion Chair, at his cell, 425-281-1929.
