D CO, 1ST BN, 27TH INFANTRY, 25TH INF DIV

Curtis Darrisaw was born on March 27, 1949. According to our records Georgia was his home or enlistment state. Furthermore, we have Tennille listed as the city and Washington County included within the archival record.

He was drafted into the Army. Entered via Selective Service. Served during the Vietnam War. He began his tour on April 21, 1968. He had the rank of Specialist Four. Occupation or specialty was Light Weapons Infantry. Service number was 67087242. Served with 25th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, D Company.

Darrisaw experienced a traumatic event which resulted in loss of life on February 23, 1969. Recorded circumstances attributed to: "Died through hostile action, small arms fire". Incident location: South Vietnam, Binh Duong province.

Curtis Darrisaw is buried or memorialized at Burnett Grove AME Church Cemetery, Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia. Curtis is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC. Name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 32w, Line 95.
