HEY WOLFHOUNDS! WHAT TIME IS IT? IT’S REUNION TIME!
WELCOME TO EMBASSSY SUITES RIVERFRONT, ON THE OHIO RIVER, IN COVINGTON, KY. WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL VENUE FOR OUR 2026 REUNION AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR VISIT. OUR PX IS CONVENIENTLY ADJACENT TO OUR HOSPITALITY ROOM AND BOTH OVERLOOK THE OHIO RIVER. THE HOTEL IS ABOUT 20 MINUTES FROM THE NORTHERN KY/CINCINNATI AIRPORT AND A FEW BLOCKS FROM I-71/I-75.
COVINGTON WAS FOUNDED IN 1815 WITH A LARGE GERMAN POPULATION, BUT ALSO A SIGNIFICANT IRISH POPULAION. SO, THAT MEANS COVINGTON HAD SEVERAL BREWERIES IN THE EARLY DAYS, AS DID CINCINNATI. COVINGTON IS KNOWN FOR SEVERAL BEAUTIFUL CATHOLIC CHURCHES BUT MOST SIGNIFICANT IS ST MARY’S CATHEDERAL BASILICA OF THE ASSUMPTION WHICH WAS MODELED AFTER THE NOTRE-DAME IN PARIS. IT IS KNOWN FOR ITS BEAUTIFUL STAINED GLASS WINDOWS, ONE OF WHICH IS THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD. COVINGTON IS ALSO KNOWN FOR THE JOHN A ROBELING SUSPENSION BRIDGE, THE PROTOTYPE FOR THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE.
THERE ARE MANY CHOICES FOR DINING NEARBY, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING EXTRA OR WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND YOUR STAY. THERE ARE CASINOS, MUSEUMS, RACETRACKS, ETC. AND IF YOU ARE A BASEBALL FAN THE REDS STADIUM IS JUST ACROSS THE RIVER. THE REDS WILL BE IN TOWN, AUG 17,18,19 AND 20TH, TAKING ON THE CARDS.

We will meet our guide at the Old Washington Visitors Center for an abbreviated walking (limited walking) tour of Old Washington, covering Underground Railway History. From there we will enjoy a guided tour of four of Kentucky’s standing covered bridges. A buffet lunch (included)will be served at the Blue Licks Battle State Park.

We will travel to Wright Patterson Air Force Base and tour the base with a stop at the National Museum of the Air Force. We will have a guided tour to include the early years, WW I, WW II Galleries. The Korean War and Southeast Asia War Galleries. Lunch at the Valkyrie Café (included). the Cold War Gallery. Following lunch we will tour the Space Research & Development, Global Research and Presidential Gallery.
If we get lucky maybe we will see the Outer Space Aliens rumored to have been transferred from Area 51) LOL

A day of touring to include sightseeing and lunch aboard the BB Riverboat. Journey through time on our unique daytime cruise combining local history, live banjo music and delicious dining.
